Well done to Dr William Hotham for passing his PhD viva examination. William completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge as part of the STARSTEM project.
On Tuesday the 29th of March William successfully defended his thesis “ MSC derived EV in regenerative medicine” After a 4 hour defense William passed subject to minor corrections. The examiners were Dr Tim Williams (Cambridge University) and Dr Oksana Kehoe (Keele University).
The Viva experience is difficult to describe, defending the last 3 and a half years work but overall the discussions were in depth and enjoyable. It was great afterwards to celebrate with my Friends, fiancée and Family. Thanks must go again to the Cambridge team Dr Frances Henson, Mr Stephen McDonnell, Dr Josh Kaggie and Karin Newell, without whome I would not have been able to complete my PhD. Of course, at the end of the day it was great to celebrate with a beer.
